THE UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT

As Deputy Director of the United Nations UK Global Compact I am delighted to introduce you to FPL and to share with you our commitment to corporate social responsibility.  CSR is not something that we do, it is who we are.  For those of you who are unaware of the UN Global Compact I would encourage you to look at the following websites:  www.unglobalcompact.org and the UN Global Compact UK Network www.ungc-uk.net.

Our corporate citizenship is about how we conduct ourselves, the impact we have on the wider society and the decisions we take that impact on the environment.  We have a responsibility not only to our colleagues, but to society as a whole.  Therefore we take our relationships with clients, suppliers, and community groups very seriously. We see them as being part of the FPL team.
