Forensic Phone Analysis Presentation to Europol 19/10/09
Senior Investigating Officers Conference at EUROPOL Asks FPL To Show How They Can Get The Best from Mobile Phone Data

Forensic Pathways will address a major European Law Enforcement Conference at EUROPOL on 19 October 2009 where Senior Police Officers will be meeting from around the European Union.

FPL will highlight the many opportunities this new technology (Forensic Phone Analyser) presents and the best way to use it to combat organised crime and terrorism. This technology has attracted national acclaim in the UK National Business Awards for improving efficiency, speeding up investigations and saving money.

Richard Leary, MD at FPL said that "Law enforcement has a major problem dealing with the increasing complexity of information generated by Mobile Phones used in crime. It's a bit like trying to find a needle in a thousand haystacks.

However, with this new technology it's like having a powerful electronic magnet and a route map on where to look! We have been asked to show how modern, fast, efficient technology can process enormous amounts of telecoms data to identify criminals and criminal activity from Mobile Phones".

Finalist in the National Business Awards 2009
FPL along with its industry partner, Cambridgeshire Police, are delighted to announce that we are finalists in the National Business Awards 2009 in 'The Orange Best Use of Technology in Business' category. The nomination focuses on FPL's new technology 'Forensic Phone Analyser' (FPA):

Forensic Pathways (FPL) and Cambridgeshire Constabulary joined forces to create an innovative 'Public Private Partnership' to streamline and improve operational efficiency in the management of evidence and intelligence across the whole of Cambridgeshire. Through integrating FPL's Forensic Phone Analyser Platform (FPA) into Cambridgeshire's intelligence workflow, significant exploitable operational advantage was gained which has vastly improved the quality of actionable intelligence as well as improved customer convenience.

This has reduced costs drastically, improved operational efficiency and enabled the police to "get ahead of the curve" of active criminals and terrorists to improve public safety and reduce risk.

Judging takes place on Wednesday 23 September, with the awards being announced at the Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, London on the 10th November 2009.
